Dear Gabriel,
Yesterday you had fever again : ( but it was low grade fever. Today was 2nd day you had fever, so you rest at home. Due to yesterday papa stayed home to look after you, you have been attached to papa very much. Early morning you asked mummy to go to work and papa to stay home with you, but papa got training today and unable to do so… in order to avoid you feeling sad after sending papa off, I brought you to the lakeside park, your favorite place to run about, play at the playground and feed the fish.
After you climbed up the stairs of the slide, you asked mummy to climb up too. So mummy told you, mummy cannot do so as is too small for mummy. Then you answered,” Wait for you to grow small first huh!” I smiled. Mummy always told you, wait for you to grow big first, then you can play badminton, go fishing and etc. So you just copied mummy way of saying. Then mummy said “No, mummy will only grow old and will not grow small again, and then I will die”. I showed sad face after that. Gabriel said “I will kiss you like the prince and you wake up”. You were referring to the snow white story.. This conversation really made me felt so funny and touched…

Dearest Gabriel,
On 6th of Sept. you were having high fever again. This brought back our fears as what happened in May 08, when you were having high fever and fits. Due to this you were admitted to hospital. You were really pity at that time, crying everyday as the nurse would use cold water to wipe you and they really used wet cloth to wet your shirt and head, even during mid night. Mummy’s heart really ached and was sad to see you crying. However this was to control your fever not to shoot up and have fits…In addition, at that time you refused to take medicine (since small). The nurse was also scared of you and would just bring in the medicine and left. So mummy had to do the cruel action to force you to drink. Then you would cry and struggle.
Therefore, whenever you started fever now, papa and mummy will feel very down and nervous. We will check your temperature very frequently, less than half an hour frequency. We have developed phobia already. This time you have high fever on the 2nd day and you felt chilly and shivering at the same time. Mummy really don’t know have to cover you or not.(After this incident, we read one article, it said we should cover you till you stop shivering and then remove the blanket) We were really worried of you and called grandma to come to help as we can’t take leave for many days. Thank grandma that she came 2 hours after the phone call. We felt not so stress after grandma came. We brought you to see doctor on the 3rd day and doctor gave you antibiotic and other medicine for cough, flu and phlegm. You have been vomiting almost every day after the milk feed as you didn’t know how to spit out the phlegm. We really pity you… You also had nightmare and you would cry “I don’t want… I don’t want…”
On the 5th day, you were still having fever after 10 hours interval. After 6 days of struggling, your fever was brought under control – 24 hours no fever. We were relieved and felt happy to see you jumping around :-)
With Love… Mummy

Dear Gabriel,
Last weekend we went to Kiu Kiu’s new apartment in Kuala Lumpur. You were looking forward for a train ride before the trip. Mummy had bought you a Topsy and Tim book about train ride, so that you were prepared of what will happen in KL. When we arrived Kiu Kiu’s new condo, you were excited and ran around the house. In the afternoon, we brought you to experience the komuter just opposite Kiu Kiu’s house. You insisted to put in the ticket into the auto gate at the train station by yourself. Yi Yi was following you and after you put in the ticket and entered in, yi yi couldn’t enter!!! This made her panic…End up Kiu kiu and yiyi squeezed in together : ) You are basically like to do everything that you are not supposed to…Highly initiative and proactive !! Hope when you grow up, you will keep this good behaviour. Then on the same night we went to have seafood in one beautiful restaurant brought by fat kiu kiu. We were walking around while waiting for the food. Suddenly you saw a group of children, all girls, running around, playing. You also quickily ran to try to join in..However that group of girls just ignored you. When they laughed, you laughed too. Mummy really feel pity for you….as you are lonely. In the evening, you swam with yiyi and kiu kiu in the swimming pool. You were excited when kiu kiu acted as the big shark to chase you. You were also excited to jump into the water and splashed!
On the next day, we went to IKEA in the morning and Sunway Pyramid at nite. You were really amazed to see the giant lion, and the diamond pyramid. After came back to Penang, you still always mention about the GIANt lion : )
