Dear Gabriel,
Last night after dinner, you kept asking “Are we going somewhere?” Due to we were tired, we didn’t bring you out. After you played for a while, you still kept asking “Are we going somewhere??” So we went out for a car ride. After driving around for a while, you repeated the same question,” Are we going somewhere???” So papa suggested we stopped by SOMEWHERE. So mummy drove to a stall to buy buns and we brought you for a walk along a row of stalls. Then when we wanted to go back to the car, you were still asking “Are we going somewhere????” Then mummy asked you, “Where is “SOMEWHERE”? Where do you want to go??” But mummy didn’t get any response from you. So we proceed to go home…We really couldn’t interpret where you meant by “Somewhere” : )
Love,
Mummy

Dear Gabriel,
After I read Grandpa write up about your birthday, mummy felt so touch, tears all filled in the eyes. On the day you were born, everyone was eagerly waiting to see you, especially mummy and papa after waited for 9.5 months. Due to you were a breech baby, you had to be born by caesarean method. We had decided your birth date to be on the 22.11.2005. You were born at 3:15 p.m., weighing 3.5 kg. The doctor who delivered you was Dr. Suresh from GMC. The next morning, the nurse carried you to me. You slowly opened your eyes and looked around the room. Lastly you stopped your vision on my face. That was the moment we met each other. I couldn’t forget that precious moment. You looked at me with love and seem like telling me that “Hi! I know you are my mummy : ) ”
You were given the name Cheah Yi Chern. The 2nd word “Yi”, was actually proposed by grandpa and grandma. They said it was a very meaningful word which represents Justice and Righteousness. And the 3rd word “Chern” was named by mummy. It means morning. I like feeling in the morning and the word is simple. Papa and mummy just hope that you will grow up as a healthy, simple and happy person and not necessarily to be successful. Please remember that!
Be Happy!!!

Dear Gabriel,
Three years ago, on 22nd November 2005, you were born. This is your birthday and it is grand father’s day because I became a grand father on the day you were born. Grandpa must let you know how happy I was when you were born. In the afternoon of 22.11.05 mummy was admitted to Gleneagles Medical Centre in Penang to deliver you. Papa accompanied mummy in the operation theatre while the doctor performed the ceasarian section to deliver you. Grandpa, grandma, popo, goong-goong, uncle Bart and untie Angie were all waiting anxiously outside for your birth. Suddenly, we heard a baby cried, screaming very loud in the O.T. We could hear you from outside because you screamed very loud for some times. When grandpa heard your cry, grandpa also cried, a cry of joy and happiness. Grandpa shed alot of tears because grandpa was very happy. Papa named you Gabriel, name of an archangel of God, which means ” My master is God”. We all rejoiced. Grandpa hopes that you will grow up and become master of many things.
Happy Birthday!
Lots of love from grandpa and grandma

Hi Gabriel,
Today 14.11.08, you celebrated your first Children’s day in school. Melody kindyland had organized children’s day cum pot luck party. There were some programmes such as games, sketch by teachers, face painting, sing & dance. We would need to let you bring some food to share with your classmates. Due to lack of time, papa and mummy had used lunch time to have a quick search of what to buy for your pot luck party. After 2 rounds of surveys, we still couldn’t get anything. Lastly, we decided to let you bring fried bee hoon. The reason? More healthy food for children.
This morning papa and mummy were more excited than you as both of us woke up at 5a.m.!Papa was worried he couldn’t wake up to fry the bee hoon and mummy was too excited for you
This celebrition also made mummy recall all the childhood children’s day celebration in school.
The Fried Bee Hoon contains carrot, cabbage, sausages, black mushroom, onion and fried eggs. Hoped you enjoyed with your friends! Cheers and Happy Children’s Day.

Dearest Gabriel,
One day, mummy brought you for a walk at lake side. We went to feed the fish. Now you enjoyed and learned how to throw the bread far.
Suddenly mummy heard loud sound “Pomp”. Then I saw a big wild pig running across lake plaza.. The wild pig was black and the size is as big as a big motorbike. The pig head is very long…It ran fast and everybody started to run too…Mummy quickly grabbed you and ran but you struggle as you were busy playing with a small dog. After I used all my strength to carry you and ran up a small slope, I was breathless and the wild pig was running at the direction towards us…This made me more panic and my brain can’t work and stop there to think of which way to run was better…Luckily the wild pig suddenly changed direction and ran somewhere else…This was my first time seeing a wild pig and it was really scary. I was shocked at the size of the wild pig. While I was trying to carry you to run, you kept holding me and said “ Mummy, I protect you! I protect you” : ) Gabriel, you are such a darling.
Lots of love
