Happy Birthday (3years old)

November 28, 2008 · 1 Comment

Dear Gabriel,

After I read Grandpa write up about your birthday, mummy felt so touch, tears all filled in the eyes. On the day you were born, everyone was eagerly waiting to see you, especially mummy and papa after waited for 9.5 months. Due to you were a breech baby, you had to be born by caesarean method. We had decided your birth date to be on the 22.11.2005. You were born at 3:15 p.m., weighing 3.5 kg. The doctor who delivered you was Dr. Suresh from GMC. The next morning, the nurse carried you to me. You slowly opened your eyes and looked around the room. Lastly you stopped your vision on my face. That was the moment we met each other. I couldn’t forget that precious moment. You looked at me with love and seem like telling me that “Hi! I know you are my mummy : ) ”

You were given the name Cheah Yi Chern. The 2nd word “Yi”, was actually proposed by grandpa and grandma. They said it was a very meaningful word which represents Justice and Righteousness. And the 3rd word “Chern” was named by mummy. It means morning. I like feeling in the morning and the word is simple. Papa and mummy just hope that you will grow up as a healthy, simple and happy person and not necessarily to be successful. Please remember that!

Be Happy!!!

Children’s Day

November 15, 2008 · 2 Comments

Hi Gabriel,
Today 14.11.08, you celebrated your first Children’s day in school. Melody kindyland had organized children’s day cum pot luck party. There were some programmes such as games, sketch by teachers, face painting, sing & dance. We would need to let you bring some food to share with your classmates. Due to lack of time, papa and mummy had used lunch time to have a quick search of what to buy for your pot luck party. After 2 rounds of surveys, we still couldn’t get anything. Lastly, we decided to let you bring fried bee hoon. The reason? More healthy food for children.

This morning papa and mummy were more excited than you as both of us woke up at 5a.m.!Papa was worried he couldn’t wake up to fry the bee hoon and mummy was too excited for you :) This celebrition also made mummy recall all the childhood children’s day celebration in school.

The Fried Bee Hoon contains carrot, cabbage, sausages, black mushroom, onion and fried eggs. Hoped you enjoyed with your friends! Cheers and Happy Children’s Day.
