Clown and you

March 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Dearest Gabriel,
During CNY, we went to the SP Setia Carnival and you took a photo with a clown. Mummy still remembered when you were young, whenever mummy brought you near a clown, you would cry because you were scared of the colourful face. Now, you are no longer scared and even wanted to take balloon from the clown. Cheers!

Love,
Mummy

Chinese “Niu” Year 2008

Chinese “Niu” (Cow) Year 2008

As usual the Chinese New Year eve and first day of CNY, we celebrated in Menglembu. Long before CNY, you already had the festive mood as your school had taught you to sing CNY songs. We were surprised that you could sing the mandarin CNY songs so well as you didn’t know any Chinese word. First day of CNY, you wore the Chinese traditional costume bought by Yi-yi from Singapore  (Thanks ,Yi-yi!).  You enjoyed playing with di-di Julian for the time spent in M’lembu.

On 2nd day, we went to poh-poh house. You played fireworks and had minor burns on your finger. Since then, you were abit scared to play fireworks. Actually everyone was saying that you were very brave as you dare to light up the fireworks.

Then on the 3rd day, we packed our luggage and went down to KL. We stayed in Kiu Kiu’s apartment. This trip we brought you to Sunway Lagoon and we went to the amusement park and wild life park. You enjoyed the kiddy horse ride, merry-go-round, spaceship and train. The train was quite thrilling as it was very fast and would go through a dark tunnel. Initially you were scared but after mummy asked you to scream, your scared feeling disappeared and you felt so fun! Then we went to the wild life park. You have taken photo with the pony and you had seen snake, rabbit, tortoise, parrot, otter and etc. We also watched the animal show. You really enjoyed yourself and refused to go home even though it was already in the late afternoon.

Besides Sunway Lagoon, you also went to see the Giant Lion which is a must-not-miss activity for KL. This was our 3rd trip to KL and you requested to see the giant lion everytime before we started our journey.

This CNY was a special one as we had never travel to other place during CNY all the while. I guess Gabriel, you enjoyed this special CNY.

Christmas 2008

February 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Dearest Gabriel,

This year was the first year we have set up a Christmas tree in Lakeside Tower apartment, our home sweet home. We have bought the Christmas tree from S&J, Gurney shopping mall. It costs RM 79.90. Then we have bought some ribbons, balls, light and you have chose a baby red bird and fruit to hang. Our tree colors combination this year was green, red and gold. We were excited to set up the tree. And with your help, it made us more difficult in the set up : )

After set up the tree, you were assigned to do the light up ceremony. You were extremely excited as while singing the Christmas song, you were dancing from the dining area to the living area till you were missing from my video clip. Then after the song, we hugged each other and said “Merry Christmas” We have been doing these for few nights  : ) After see you were so happy of the Christmas mood. We have no regret for the spending…

Children’s Day

November 15, 2008 · 2 Comments

Hi Gabriel,
Today 14.11.08, you celebrated your first Children’s day in school. Melody kindyland had organized children’s day cum pot luck party. There were some programmes such as games, sketch by teachers, face painting, sing & dance. We would need to let you bring some food to share with your classmates. Due to lack of time, papa and mummy had used lunch time to have a quick search of what to buy for your pot luck party. After 2 rounds of surveys, we still couldn’t get anything. Lastly, we decided to let you bring fried bee hoon. The reason? More healthy food for children.

This morning papa and mummy were more excited than you as both of us woke up at 5a.m.!Papa was worried he couldn’t wake up to fry the bee hoon and mummy was too excited for you :) This celebrition also made mummy recall all the childhood children’s day celebration in school.

The Fried Bee Hoon contains carrot, cabbage, sausages, black mushroom, onion and fried eggs. Hoped you enjoyed with your friends! Cheers and Happy Children’s Day.
