Dear Gabriel,
During our first visit at Penang Time Square shopping mall, we found out that there is a fountain outside the building which there is no boundary around the fountain. Children can easily access the wet area.
During the first visit, you kept attempting to go inside. However you were stopped by mummy because we didn’t bring extra clothes for you and Time Square shopping mall air-corn was super cold. So we decided to bring you for the next visit with extra clothing. We have done so in the 2nd visit and you really super excited. You played till took off all your clothes, running about at the fountain and fell down few times, cause the floor is slippery. But you just laughed when fell. You enjoyed playing/ fighting with the water shooting up. You have gone crazy during the play….

Dearest Gabriel,
On 19Sept-23Sept-09, we had been to Krabi for a holiday. As usual, you were very happy of the hotel stay. On the first day, when we reached Krabi was already 11pm at night. When entering the room, you were performing the room inspection even though you were sleepy. You switched on and off all the lights, asked many questions on how to use this and that, inspected the toilet and asked why didn’t have your favourite bath tub. This time the hotel room had a special type of curtain – you had to open like raising a flag. You enjoyed playing that throughout the stays…open and close whenever you were free. Whenever mummy and papa wanted to change clothes, we need to remind you and got to make sure you did not open…
(behind the curtain is a sliding door which opens to the swimming pool).

On the 2nd day morning, we went to have our breakfast. Our itinerary was actually a site seeing day. However, you insisted to take your beach toys and wanted to play at the beach. You couldn’t wait anymore. The beach was just next to the restaurant. Luckily we were very early on that day and finished the breakfast early. So we brought you to the beach and thought let you have a quick play because we need to go sight seeing in a group. We kept reminding you not to wet your shirt. You have requested us to remove the shoes. When mummy refused, you purposedly poured the sand on my foot. You were very naughty and has lots of ideas to change our decision. End up, papa was dirty too and have to bathe again after the play.
Due to the weather was good on the first day, we decided to go for Island hopping instead of sight seeing. The boat man brought us to 4 islands, the beaches were really beautiful compared to the hotel beach. Crystal clear water and fine white sand! You really enjoyed running around at the beach, you have lost control! When the boat man brought us to one place for snorkelling, you were quite reluctant to get down the water. However at last, you couldn’t resist our encouraging words, you had worn the “extra large” life jacket and went down the water with papa. You were very excited! Mummy purposedly throwed the bread around you so that the fishes would swim near you. This was your first experience swimming in the sea, you were not scared at all and touching the colourful fishes. When you got up the boat, you kept saying you wanted to change your swim suit because it was wet. Even mummy told you we still have to go other beaches, you still insisted…You are a super “clean” boy. End up, the only one suit that mummy brought also got wet, as a result you had to bare your body playing the sand on one of the beautiful island. You really enjoyed so much of the beach. Mummy felt very happy!

Another good experience that we had in Thailand was to walk on the low tide beach…We could walked out till very far away. When you were playing the beach toys and wanted to get water, we got to run far to get the water
It was so nice feeling walking on the sand…The sun set very quickly and you refused to get back to the hotel. So mummy had to swim with you for a while in the swimming pool after the play at the beach to satisfy you.

Generally, throughout the whole trip you only enjoyed the beach and also the hotel stay. You kept saying “I want to go back to our hotel” when on the way back to Penang from Haadyai…till Kiu kiu also couldn’t stand and said ” Kiu Kiu hear also boring already, don’t know you tired or not” Hahaha!
With love,
Mummy

Dearest Gabriel,
Mummy has bought you a BINGO game in popular bookshop. The game is quite fun and we can play with you too. It can helps build your learning of words as the card has picture and also word.

We have fun playing the game. However, you were not happy whenever you lose. You showed your sadness and disappointment on your face when you lose. You would also got angry and walked away.

Mummy is really worry and don’t know how to let you accept failures.
Gabriel, failure is just part of the process to success. Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, only this time you will be more wise. Hope when you grow up whenever you fails, don’t give up easily! As long as you persist, you will be success one day! Mummy will always be with you and support you.
With love

Dearest Gabriel,
Another 3 months, you will be 4 years old already. Let mummy reviewed your current progress/ development. Since 1 or 2 months back, you were SUPER good boy, obedient and understanding. You are very independent. For example, when mummy left you alone, you will take books and read or write. You will choose your favourite show and ON and watch by yourself. When comes to bath time, you do not scare of water running on your face anymore. Sometime you are able to sleep by yourself. Mummy wanted to train you to be independent. Then only you will have confidence in doing things in future. I am sure you will proud of yourself when you have master a certain skills. You are able to eat by yourself and sit and wait for bapa and mummy to finish the meal when we eat out. You also talk a lot…and question us whenever you have doubts. We sometime really don’t know how to answer you
You also very understanding. When mummy was sick and told you mummy couldn’t sleep with you. You will accept it. You will also feed mummy medicine. And during meal time, you will also take food for bapa and mummy. Gabriel, you are really big boy already. We are so happy and proud of you.

Dear Gabriel,
We went to Genting Highlands in July 2009. This was your first trip to Genting. We went with Yeong2, New Zealand yiyi, Gung2, Po2, suk gung, suk po, yiyi and yi chong. You enjoyed yourself a lot in Genting First World Indoor Theme Park and the hotel stay. We had bought a family package (NZ yiyi, Yeong 2, you and me) playing unlimited games in the indoor theme park. You had told mummy few times,” Mummy, I like here so much” and when we were leaving Genting, you were so sad because you like to stay in hotel so much and wanted to go back : )

After the Genting trip, we stayed at Kiu Kiu’s apartment for 2 days. We went to National Science Centre, Damansara. You liked the place very much too as there were many things to explore. We had a fun time there.

On the last day when we wanted to come back to Penang, you held Yeong 2 hand, don’t want to let go and wanted him to follow papa car. Then on the way back, you kept saying you were very sad. Ya…mummy know you were sad as holiday has ended. However we will try our best to bring you there again when we have time or holiday.

Dear Gabriel,
Three years ago, on 22nd November 2005, you were born. This is your birthday and it is grand father’s day because I became a grand father on the day you were born. Grandpa must let you know how happy I was when you were born. In the afternoon of 22.11.05 mummy was admitted to Gleneagles Medical Centre in Penang to deliver you. Papa accompanied mummy in the operation theatre while the doctor performed the ceasarian section to deliver you. Grandpa, grandma, popo, goong-goong, uncle Bart and untie Angie were all waiting anxiously outside for your birth. Suddenly, we heard a baby cried, screaming very loud in the O.T. We could hear you from outside because you screamed very loud for some times. When grandpa heard your cry, grandpa also cried, a cry of joy and happiness. Grandpa shed alot of tears because grandpa was very happy. Papa named you Gabriel, name of an archangel of God, which means ” My master is God”. We all rejoiced. Grandpa hopes that you will grow up and become master of many things.
Happy Birthday!
Lots of love from grandpa and grandma
